EFFECTIVE 2 AUGUST 2026 · CLOSED ENGINEERING ALPHA · WEBSITE, CONTACT FORM AND DEVELOPMENT WAITLIST. Local does not mean encrypted, anonymous, or immune to unlocked-account access.

Controller and scope

Wehron GmbH, Mörsenbroicher Weg 191, 40470 Düsseldorf, Germany, is the controller for personal data processed through wehron.app. Contact: wehron.app/contact. This notice applies to the website, its contact form and the Wehron Browser development waitlist. It does not cover independent websites visited with Wehron Browser. A product-specific notice will be provided before any public release if required.

Website hosting, security and analytics

The website is hosted by Framer B.V., Rozengracht 207B, 1016 LZ Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Technical request and security information may include IP address, requested URL, time, browser or device characteristics, and anti-abuse signals needed to deliver and protect the website and its forms. Framer’s built-in analytics reports aggregate visitors, page views, sources, pages and selected site events. Framer states that it uses no cookies or persistent identifiers for this analytics service and hashes the IP address and user agent with a daily rotating secret that is deleted each day. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interests are secure operation and improving the website. We do not use Google Analytics or advertising trackers.

Contact form

When you use the contact form, Wehron GmbH processes the supplied name, email address and message to receive and answer the inquiry. Framer processes form data and security signals on our behalf, and submissions are delivered to a private company mailbox operated with Proton AG in Switzerland. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is responding to genuine business and product inquiries. Contact-form data is not used for marketing and is deleted when the matter has been conclusively handled unless continued retention is required by law or necessary for legal claims. Do not submit passwords, private keys, sensitive case material, hostile files, special-category data, or unnecessary personal data about third parties.

Development-update waitlist

When you join the development waitlist, Wehron GmbH processes the email address and confirmation, subscription, unsubscribe and operational delivery status needed to manage requested updates. We use Loops, operated by Astrodon Corporation, as an email-service processor. Updates are sent only after double opt-in confirmation. The legal basis is consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw consent at any time through the unsubscribe link in an update, without affecting earlier processing. Joining the waitlist creates no contract, software licence, right of access or guaranteed place in a future release.

Retention

Contact-form data is deleted when the matter has been conclusively handled unless law or legal claims require longer retention. Confirmed subscriber records are retained while the subscription remains active. After withdrawal, update emails stop and only the minimum information needed to honour and document the opt-out may be retained. Unconfirmed signups are not sent development updates and are retained only as needed to support confirmation, security and abuse prevention. Longer retention applies only where required by law or necessary for legal claims.

Service providers and transfers

Website and form data may be processed by Framer B.V. in the Netherlands, waitlist data by Astrodon Corporation through Loops in the United States, and company email data by Proton AG in Switzerland. These providers may use subprocessors. Restricted international transfers are handled under applicable adequacy decisions, the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework where available, Standard Contractual Clauses, or other lawful safeguards. The website contains ordinary outbound links to X and wehron.de; no X feed or tracking widget is embedded, and data is transmitted to the external service only when you follow its link.

Product-local data

Wehron Browser has no Wehron GmbH cloud case-management service or product telemetry. Browser Mode may store a local Chromium profile with cookies, sign-ins, storage, cache, authentication, bookmarks, history, and preferences. OSINT Mode may store analyst labels, case metadata, case profiles, append-only research records, evidence, and accepted case downloads. The current structured storage is plaintext and may be accessible to someone controlling the unlocked Mac. Research hashes are tamper-evident, not signature or authorship proof. Websites and search providers still receive ordinary traffic chosen by the user.

Your choices and rights

Subject to the applicable conditions, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or objection. Use the website contact form and write Privacy request. Waitlist consent can also be withdrawn through the unsubscribe link in each update. Contact-form and waitlist data are not used for automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects. You may lodge a complaint with the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen, Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany, at ldi.nrw.de.
